Clary Coutu Bio
Clary Coutu is the President of the New England Railroad Club, and Keolis’ Director of Environmental Services, Compliance and Sustainability, Operator of the MBTA Commuter Rail, the sixth largest and one of the oldest commuter rails in the country.
She is an accomplished executive with over 15 years of experience in the strategic design, implementation and administration of highly complex compliance programs and management systems with a proven track record in directing successful delivery, developing and maintaining stakeholder partnerships, governance of operational budgets and management of a portfolio of capital investment projects. In her tenure in the railroad industry, she has lead the implementation from concept to execution of an Environmental Management System following the ISO I400I standards for the Commuter Rail achieving a first of its kind third party certification for a private railroad operator in the US and led Keolis in the achievement of the APTA Gold Award in Sustainability.
She is recognized by colleagues and stakeholders as an influential, lead-by-example agent of impactful change in the management of cross-functional multidisciplinary teams, execution of strategic and change management plans and timely project deliverables. Clary holds a Bachelor in Science Degree in Environmental Science and Economics from Framingham State University.
