Advancement of FRP Composites in Transportation Infrastructure
Over the past 30 years, FRP composites have evolved to provide many products and solutions to the problems associated with the deteriorating transportation infrastructure. These products have also evolved into second and third generation products where refinement was made in the materials, manufacturing, design, and applications. Today, these products have shown reliability and resiliency for many infrastructure applications. This presentation will provide an overview of the composites technology advancements especially in applications where durability is an important driver. The audience will learn about the state of the practice and composites industry initiatives to advance technology.
