Student Bio:
Danilo Botero Lopez is a Ph.D. student at the University of Maine. He finished his Master degree in the same university in the summer of 2020 and right after he started his Ph.D studies, developing a new methodology to evaluate the global stability of column supported earthwork systems. He landed in Maine in 2018 after working with earthquake geotechnics and near surface geophysics for two engineering companies in Colombia -his native country- for almost two years. He finished his bachelor at the National University of Colombia in 2016, where he studied the effects of impact moving loads in bridges.
