Student Bio:
Koosha Raisi is an ardent doctoral research assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UMass Lowell. Koosha earned his bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Sharif University of Technology in Civil Engineering and received his master’s degree in Structural Engineering with distinction from the University of Birmingham. Since joining UMass Lowell, Koosha has focused his research on the structural health monitoring of civil infrastructure such as concrete highway bridges by employing a wide range of nondestructive testing and evaluation (NDT/E) apparatus, particularly specializing in remote and contact Radar sensors such as Synthetic Aperture Radar, and Ground-penetrating Radar.
